Climb Against Crime

5 LADIES ON EITHER SIDE OF 50 TO DO 5 DRAKENSBERG PEAKS IN 5 DAYS

This morning, five women set out to climb the first of five mountains in the Drakensberg.

Vivien Laverge, Michelle Holiday, Lorraine Dalton, Belinda van der Riet and Lee Hollington, will be climbing five mountains in the next five days in an attempt to stop crime in the 555 Drakensberg Climb Against Crime Campaign.

They will be taking on Cathedral Peak, the Outer Horn, the Mitre, the Cockade and the Cleft Peak, all in five days.
Each woman has committed to taking time from their busy schedules, families and businesses in order to draw attention, raise funds and ultimately do their small part in the fight against crime.

According to News24, the five women have undergone a two-month fitness and health boot camp sponsored by Fitness From Africa to prepare for the challenge.

Well we certainly wish the ladies the best of luck and will be monitoring their progress over the next five days!

This is a grueling challenge. Apparently the first day of climbing is 9 hours! and then up again, down again for another four days. Good for them! We should be doing more initiatives like this!
Good luck girls!
